From Equestrian Team GBR:

It was a bumper weekend for the Brits at the Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials in Yorkshire, with excellent performances in all three of the 4* classes.

First to step onto the podium was Gemma Tattersall, who piloted her Rio Olympic Games mount Quicklook V to a fault-free finish in the CCI-S4* on Saturday. They led from start to finish, but pushing Gemma all the way were Laura Collett and Dacapo, who ultimately finished as runners-up, while Emily King and Brookleigh finished in third. The next five places on the leaderboard were also filled by British riders, making for a very happy home crowd at the prize-giving.

Kitty King and Vendredi Biats put their unlucky Badminton behind them to win the CCI-4*L class on Sunday. They added just 0.4 showjumping time penalties to their dressage score, following a smooth and classy cross-country round on Saturday. Just 0.1 penaltie817s behind them were Gemma Tattersall and new ride Jalapeno III, who joined Gemma’s yard at the start of the 2019 season. The top three was rounded out by British rider Selina Mills and Iron IV, who now have their sights set on Burghley.

Ireland’s Cathal Daniels may have scooped the U25 CCI-4*L prize, but second place was enough to scoop Yasmin Ingham the title of British U25 Champion. She was riding Sandman 7, the former ride of Pippa Funnell. They led after the cross-country phase following a successful appeal against 20 penalties picked up on course, but unfortunately lowered a pole in the showjumping to allow Cathal to finish ahead of them.
